When planning a wedding, selecting the right vendors is crucial to ensuring a smooth and memorable event. Here’s a list of common wedding vendors you may need to consider:
1. Venue
– Types: Banquet halls, hotels, outdoor gardens, barns, beaches, and more. I love the Autumn Lane Estates in Standish where I entertained for the rehearsal dinner! And Flaherty’s Farm Event Barn was roaming for the cocktail hour and more for one of my favorite brides, Lindsey Hannah.
2. Catering
– Options: Full-service catering, buffet, plated meals, food trucks, and cake/dessert vendors. I recently did a holiday party that Black tie catering was working too and the food was incredible!!
3. Photography
– Styles: Traditional, photojournalistic, fine art, and candid photography. I’ve seen David Bates Photography and used him for my own photography and seen his brilliant work at events and weddings!
4. Videography
– Types: Highlight reels, full-length videos, drone footage.
5. Florists
– Services: Bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, ceremony decorations. Dan Kennedy of Harmons is always saving the day for brides that thought they would do it on their own, or another florist fell through with what was promised.
6. Entertainment
– Options: DJs, live bands, solo musicians, or other performers (like Wedding Magicians or comedians).
7. Wedding Planner/Coordinator
– Roles: Full-service planners, day-of coordinators, or consultants for specific services.
8. Baker
– Services: Wedding cakes, cupcakes, dessert tables.
9. Hair and Makeup Artists
– Services: Bridal hair and makeup trials, on-site services for the wedding day.
10. Transportation
– Options: Limousines, classic cars, shuttles, or party buses.
Let me know who I can connect you with this 2025 wedding season!
