Making Wedding days memorable

Phil Smith 26th February 2024
ok, you are planning your menu with the on-location chef or caterer. It takes a lot of planning to choose meal choices you think will please the majority of your friends and family. Are there any allergies to worry about? Do you give enough choices to accommodate all the different taste buds? Now that that's done it's time to think about the music selections from the DJ or choosing a band that matches your music likes; do you try and have something from different genres and variety from country to pop to maybe rock and roll. Now it's time to…

Magic & Halloween (they go together)

Phil Smith 6th September 2023
Halloween is a magical time; spooky fun happens all around from decorations, kids costumes, to even music on the radio and tv shows are all covering monsters and magic. Magicians, wizards (like Harry Potter) & witches are a big part of Halloween in subtle and blatant ways; magic shows at Halloween parties to a month of vampires, Friday the 13th movies on the television. Companies may even choose to do an employee Halloween function that parents can bring their families too. A couple years ago during the pandemic 2021 Oct. I was a roaming magician for a trick or trunk…

You've been planning your special day for some time now, it's getting real close. The venue was booked a year ago, the flowers ordered, the caterer, but what about the reception? An open bar/cash bar isn't entertainment, and not everyone drinks. What do you do for your wedding reception? Wedding receptions in Maine often hire me (wedding magician) to help make their guests relax and enjoy the reception until the bridal party arrives to the venue. Festival Fun- add entertainment

Phil Smith 16th August 2023
Festivals happen in the summer and fall for all kinds of events; like town celebrations, schools end of school or fall festivals, to holiday festivals. In a nutshell it's to allow the school, community, or towns to celebrate something they are proud of or want to highlight in a positive way. In New England, many towns have summer festivals to celebrate the communities; Windham Maine has Windham summerfest which is a 6 hour event starting with the parade, and vendors (companies) showcasing their services and products to families. Hampden, Maine focuses on the children with what is called Hampden's Kidsfest.…

The Magic of Project Graduations

Phil Smith 14th October 2021
Parents of High Schools back in the 80's created a chemical free night on graduation night for seniors. To many drinking and driving accidents happened with seniors on graduation nights; so a totally fun night was started to make graduations safe. Entertainment, food, and fun are the building blocks of seniors fun times on these events. Entertainment comes in the form of DJ's, Hypnotists, magicians, bounce inflatables, caricature artists, comedians, temporary tattoos, to chair massages. Depending on the fund raising of that senior class will depend on how many extra fun activities they can provide:) I have been performing at…

Halloween & Magic entertainment (2 things that go together.)

Phil Smith 7th September 2021
Some things naturally go together like peanut butter and jelly; cake and birthdays, and magic(ians) and Halloween! Magic is a natural because it started out as Trick or Treat (trick is in the phrase kids all say while dressing up in costumes on the hunt for free candy.) Who doesn't remember dressing up and trying to bob for apples, eating candy corn, or trying to win the best costume at your school Halloween party?:) Witches and Warlocks create magic so the symbol of magic is a big part of the fun for those of us just looking for candy and…

MagicalAdmin 24th February 2020
What child has not been fascinated with magic; from a coin being pulled from their ear, to learning their very own card trick. I remember hearing pros where so against the magazine because allow with great articles, advice, it introduced newer magicians like myself to some really great magic tricks to learn. Learning any art form can be challenging especially without a mentor/teacher. That is where I…
